I grew up hearing that the Spanish equivalent was something else, but a query against a dictionary app I have uses the word "berenjena". What is an eggplant called in Mexico?

Just had it tempura battered, thin sliced oriental style for lunch. A little wasabi/soy, El Good-o!

Naw, had to have sushi and stuff with iced tea today. Still good tho. New place in Lost Crutches; beeg Oriental buffet w/ sushi bar too from fried chicken to yellertail. Next visit we'll take a run.

The only "egg plant" i recognize is the chicken the manufacures my eggs every morning.
