A new truck in town.

It looks like a pretty interesting. I think it's a bit more then I would spend. A hot new truck is always fodder for Nomads Offroad.

The problem as usual is the price. For this one it's $22,000 plus the price of the truck. So if you got $70,000-$80,000 or more you are set. I haven't checked lately but I think the FORD Raptor starts in the $60,000 and up range.

The Dixon Brothers have a kit that is similar to this upgrade for about $4,000 and they have places to get it installed. They do older FORD's and Chevys thru 2006, maybe newer. If I had it to do all over again I'd have them upgrade my 2004 GMC instead of a leveling kit that I paid $2,500 for installed.

Ram 1500 is reasonably priced. under $30k for a bighorn 4x4. That makes it very competitive with a raptor.

I just priced a new 2016 Dodge Ram Big Horn 4x4 with a V8 engine with a spray in bed liner and side steps similar to my GMC. List $41,345.
For a V8 4x2 $37,230.

They just finished a $10k off deal last month at our dealer...here is the current price for a 4x4 bighorn with all the bells and whistles. The price hee of course is not the selling price.

If I would trade in my 2013, they quoted my 32k. BIGHORN 4X4, 5.7L, quadcab.

Whats with the faux macho truck names that appear to be picked by 16 year old boys?

Minotaus
Raptor
Ram
Titan

And then you have the lone silly name, Tacoma.

Go figure.

The Tundra is the full-size truck from Toyota, goat, not the Tacoma.

Size doesnt matter. I was just talking about truck names. The names amuse me.

I suppose tundra is a silly name too. Tundra is mostly grass, moss, lichen; perhaps the toyota tundra is like moss?
