Bahia de Concepcion
Hi Baja Nomads,
Anyone have any suggestions on available house rentals on Bahia de Concepcion? we're on budget and trying to keep it under $500.00/wk or less.
We're planning on driving down for Thanksgiving week and would like to find a rental on the beach, preferably with a boat ramp on property or at least
nearby.
Does Posada Concepcion have a ramp?
Do Mark and Olivia have any rentals? any way to contact them?

By 'rentals' i'm assuming you mean housing; Playa Naranjo rents semi-furnished cabin/palapas and has a ramp. I have no contact info for them. The
last addy I have for Mark and Buenaventura is:

They have a guest house they used to rent out very reasonably, and there's a ramp on premises also. My info is 5 years old now, so Buena Suerte.
I don't have a BUCKET LIST, but I do have a F***- IT LIST a mile long!

Yes,I live at Posada and there are 3 rentals available..I've been going down for about 25 years now,in fact leaving in 2 weeks..Check out our web-site

Not only do they rent houses but there are now 4 of the rooms at the former hotel Playa Buenaventura for rent!
Mark (and Buenaventura) both have Facebook pages, and you can message him there...

The best way to contact Buenaventura is their facebook page. 2 days ago, the guest house was rented and they have 2 hotel rooms for rent, working on
opening more. The guest house is 80/night for one and each additional person is 10 usd. It is probably cheaper for a week rental. Excellent food!
The Posado rentals are nice.
Also, many rentals in town on the river.

Thanks for your help BajaNomads, I think we'll be staying at Posada, my ONLY concern is that from what I've learned the ramp at Posada is dirt (sand
& rocks) I have a 2wd and would like to find out if anyone has any previous experience launching from there with a similar vehicle (06 Tacoma LB
4dr 2wd)....

No experience launching there but I do know it is a very shallow bay for a long ways out. They have a channel dredged that you follow out after
launching and returning to the beach.
High tide launch and recover.
You can launch at the next beach to the north too, Santispac. High tide only over somewhat hard packed sand. No ramp. Locals launch pangas there
sometimes.
How big is the boat?

Is the photo under the size limit for direct Nomad postings (250 kb?)? You posted a lot of great pictures directly last year... see if you have pre-
reduced the file size for the photo or use Photobucket as I have shown, and no file size reduction is needed (just set the upload width limit to fit
Nomad's 800 pixel limit).

You'll be able to launch and recover at Posada but only at high tide and probably with some effort.
If it looks sketchy find someone with a 4WD to help.
I have a trailer dolly like this one that is a big help with my 15' aluminium boat, much lighter than yours. If you have a dolly you'll be able to
back the truck up disconnect the trailer and push it in until the boat floats. I recover by tying a rope on the handle of the dolly with the my 2WD
truck up on solid ground.
The loop of metal stand attached to the handle would be a problem. Mine doesn't have one.

The pic is only 48.2kb and I was trying to inserting it directly from my PC to BN instead of using Photo Bucket, when I upload pics to a "New Topic" I
use the "Attachment" - "Multi-Attach" at the bottom of the text box instead of the "Insert an Image" button above the dialog (text) box as it appears
on "Edit Post", I rather not use photo bucket because its easier doing it directly.

forget the wheel for your boat...that's for light metal things...
you have a big heavy fiberglass boat
bring a 30 foot heavy chain from home depot with heavy clips on each end
if you get stuck...find another car or truck and just have them assist you out
I do it every launch...my Suzuki just doesn't have the guts to pull out my boat in the sand
extenders are a pain because they jack-knife...hard to use
