Russian Con Artist
A redheaded Russian con artist is traveling throughout Baja, and he left Mulege Sep 15. His Name is Michael Zanevski, he's 30 years old, 5' 8" with
slim build, and a concert pianist. He drives a red SUV without a front grill. He borrows money, runs up rent and restaurant tabs, and then leaves
town. He also runs a money option scam. His picture is attached.

There is a piano museum in El Triunfo south of La Paz, piano fanciers show up now and then for a concert. Maybe he will show up down there.

That is funny, he showed up one night when we were playing at El Candil and ran around town till he found an old guitar. He wanted to play with us
but did not know most of the music. We let him do a couple of songs and then explained that we had to entertain the troops and he would have to wait.

I sent a link to this post to a friend of mine who might have known this guy, this is his reply:
I know this guy all too well from El Triunfo. He played the piano sometimes at the Music Museum. He is a full on con. He has screwed people
all over Baja. In fact he was staying in ### and ####'s place near #### #####'s house for awhile several years ago and got busted exposing himself
to young kids. He was in El Sargento for awhile and San Jose del Cabo and now Mulege. Sounds like he is running out of room and heading north.

The pic of this guy posted by Crooner looks like a different guy from the one in the link i provided.
Maybe he has borrowed an identity???

This thread reminds me of roy cohn and joe mccarthy.. the mob is ready to tar and feather based on allegations lodged by an anonymous poster
I think the question you should ask is : who is crooner? And why is he trying incite the mob from a secret hiding place?

It was more than just crooner from his secret place, The quote I shared came from a very real person who had a first hand acquaintance with this guy.
I personally don't have a dog in this fight, I don't know the guy but because of this post I won't be his next victim. If I were to run into him I
wouldn't run for the tar pot, I don't detect that from anything posted here. Quit being so dramatic....

Crooner is a musician in Mulege who does Frank Sinatra songs. He is well known and has played some of the local places. He has a definite crooner
voice and sings really well.
Igor is not spot on with his assessment that this guy does not have a Russian accent as the guy I met definately has a Russian accent but maybe it
sounds normal to Igor because of his Russian Heritage.
This guy hung out with another guy in Mulege but must have moved on since I have not seen him for awhile.
