It has been great having Pacifico and his gorgeous gal Lisa here at the Inn with us again. Today's mission was to catch their first ever wahoo and Capt. Juan Arce accomplished the mission! I have been sworn to secrecy about the location but I can tell you it was less than 5 miles from our place and caught on Juan's lucky wahoo whispering rapala! Way to go team!!!

We have had magnificent fishing weather this week...air temps in the 80's and light wind with water temps over 70 again.

1st there was a cool sailboat and now this awesome Wahoo. Baja or the lack of me being there is making me muy loco!
It looks like I can fly into Loreto from SeaTac with a pit stop at LAX.
About a 6-7 hour ride with screening. Then maybe rental car for a mad dash across the peninsula to Bahia A.
Lookin' like a 5-6 hour drive.
That is going to be a long day. And an expensive fish!
Is Wahoo good tasting I have never caught or eaten any. I guessing it is delicious and maybe better than yellowfin or yellowtail both of which I love.

John & Lisa were also super stoked to get this cool rock carving made by one of our workers! and they also got a couple of hand made cutting boards with fish carved in em!

Gabi makes them to order if anyone wants one..he carves fish, whales, spear fishermen, cave painting monos etc or anything you want in rock...and on cutting boards.

The rock art goes for $30-$50 for big ones and the cutting boards are $15-20...we carry them in our little gift shop here at the Inn or you can order them and we can have them taken state side by someone too.

and we just got a bunch of new T-shirt designs, normal, sleeveless, long sleeve and cotton hoodies and sweatshirts....finally. Lisa is rockin our new ladies style eh!

Just saw this, Shari! What a great trip we had! Thanks again...we will be back! We headed over to the Cortez side and crushed the yellowtail after we left your place. Let us know when you guys want to come to our place for some fishing!

Wahoo is delicious! One of the best eating fish in the ocean...I am a big fan of yellowfin also. I have eaten wahoo before, but this was the first that I caught thanks to Juan. We were dragging Marauders that I brought and after awhile Juan suggested trying his lucky Rapala. We changed one out and about 15 minutes later...WHAM! Wahoo!!!

Ok. Thanks for the update. By the size of the 'hoo I'm guessing he pulled nice and hard.
Great story.
