Why was it canceled? I'm sure it wasn't all that fun out there with the swell running the way it is now. 10ft+ closeouts with foam that smells like downy and bleach around there.



In that pre-Google Earth and social media epoch, The Code was adhered to. It was based on a simple verity: if a locale had been transformational for you, and you had put the hard yards in to get there and to learn it, to know it, why in god�s name would you broadcast the news, thus ruining the future experience not only for yourself, but for future adventurers?

For the non surfers in this crowd, what is a closeout? Does it lead to a wipeout? (I know that one)

Sewage is a term I also understand.

A closeout is when the entire wave breaks at the same time. You can't really surf a closeout except to go straight.
