That may be short lived. Word on the street is that gas prices are going up 20% on Monday. Maybe just a rumor....We'll see....

Some small lineups here in Mulege. I understand that the price is going up a bit.

Fuel prices are stupid low most places anyway. Like cheap heroin. It will all come to a halt one of these days.

It will be SOOOOO cool to see Los Angeles full of mopeds like Manilla. Total schadenfreude.

Sonora and Baja will be the first to see the increases (that could total 20%), but I heard that they will begin to phase them in, starting in March. The rest of the country sees the increases from north to south. Supposedly, Chiapas wont see theirs until Dec 31, 2017.

How the Mexican government is selling this increase as letting the market dictate the price, is beyond me.

Not talking about literally selling the fuel.

Talking about how the Mexican govt. has to move gingerly around a major increase in any staple. There have been strikes and riots over increases in the subsidized costs of even tortillas.

http://www.businessinsider.com/mexican-gasolinazo-gas-prices...

Believe I also read that there is supposedly a strike proposed for Jan 1-4, to protest the raising of fuel prices.

Smart enough to figure all this out.......but not smart enough to live somewhere besides the Kansas prairie, Chuckie?

When was the last time you were actually IN Mexico? All you do is lob "grenades" over the border, based on your "good ol' days in Mulege memories.

Still not out to pasture yet?

Based on your posts, you should be.

What happened? You've become to surly for your kin on the Prairie?
