I don't want to Drone on but........
Crossed the border at San Luis on the way to San Felipe. As I have done for the past few years I took my DJI Drone with me. I pack it in the
original box. Not sure if it was the holiday's or the Trump affect, but as usual, I was send to be inspected. I have a F250 with a camper, and we
always get sent to be inspected.
When they opened my camper and saw the drone they started saying that I had to pay taxes. I argued and argued, but with no luck.
I told them I paid $250 and they dinged me for 16%

Thanks for the heads up! Re-packing toys, tools, electronics and such in their original packaging makes sense, but if I find that I need to do that I
will give the package a new skin of duct tape, and lots of ID labeling with a felt tip pen.

Why would you have it in the original packing?
Buy a pelican case. So much easier to get it in and out. Like 5x easier. Water proof and all that.

Dennis.  There are times, you crack me up. Great suggestion. Next time I cross, I'll fly
a commercial one and have all my "new stuff" on it. lol I knew there must be some way to use the drones besides camera stuff!!!!!!

Amazon wants to use them for merchandise deliveries. For the kids in the neighborhood, it'll be more fun than duck hunting.

Drones would be good way to deliver low density high value goods often bought on short notice, like pot and doritos

"......Amazon was recently awarded a patent by the U.S. Patent Office for a giant
flying warehouse that will act as a launch site for deliveries of products via drones.
The flying warehouse is described by Amazon as an “airborne fulfillment center” (AFC)
which could be an airship or blimp like the recent product announcement by Lockheed
Martin. The airship would be stocked with products that were then transported by
drones to customers........ The airship floats at 45,000 feet and when a customer
places an order, a drone flies down to deliver it. Multiple drones working together
would allow delivery of heavier items........Amazon says that the system requires
limited energy usage because the drones are floating down to the customer.....
Amazon envisions a variety of possible uses for the AFC including sporting events
like a football game where customers may want the item. The AFC could also be used
during the game as a giant billboard – though not if it is flying at 45,000 feet.
Amazon foresees the AFC remaining aloft for long periods and being refueled via a
secondary shuttle craft. Given the complexity and size of the aircraft involved,
Amazon would need regulatory clearance with the FAA......."
