Sad news from Mikes Sky Ranch.

David, the guy who would greet you with a big smile and cook your dinner has died in an accident a few days ago. This is a huge loss to Mikes and everyone in the offroad community.

Apparently he was working on the dirt road and the equipment he was in rolled off the roadway and down a 50 meter embankment

about 8 years ago myself and 2 other motorbike riders got stuck at mikes for 4 days in heavy rain and snow.
david, and i believe his wife's name was blanca, were super gracious. when the storm was passed, we were able to get some of that old dozer running and got to work on the creek/river crossing. when we left the creek was still running 2 feet deep.
rest in peace david

That is so sad to hear. He will be greatly missed. He was a great guy, great on the grill, and a good family man. Always had a smile. My condolences to his family.
