Mission Santa María de los Ángeles Video

A short video of some friends and I riding (heavy) motos out to the mission to camp out a while back. Some riding, some scenery.

Sorry folks, I embedded the wrong link. It's fixed now, and with the proper code applied to show right in the forum page. Thanks!

I admire you for taking those luggage laden bikes on that road.

David, I want to go back, when are you organizing another trip there. Its been several years since that adventure.

Soon!
I want to go when TW, John M, Baja Tripper, Stuck Sucks, or any of the many other Nomad Toyota 4x4 drivers can join. My Tacoma was just 6 months old when we last went... that was almost 7 years ago. At this age, I won't mind so much when there is some body damage caused by the rocks or cliffs we drive off... like, well... here you are next to my new truck! >>>

I haven't been there since 2003 so I'm ready for another trip there. Anytime after mid April is good for me.

Dave-------a truly beautiful video!! I loved everything about it----the music especially was so cool. What a great piece of back-country Baja that area is---the Baja I have always dreamed about and often visited in my earlier years, tho never into that particular area. Thanks so much for posting this, Dave.

Thanks Barry, I'm glad you enjoyed it. I'll be going back in May and will hopefully get some pics/video of a larger pool farther down the arroyo.

Kinda need some 'rock crawler' version of a motorcycle for those blown out segments. Like an old TW-200 Yamaha with a teeny front sprocket.

Perhaps a ROKON would work, too?

I rode one of those beasts once. No suspension! Only a seat spring. My tailbone hit the rear rack. Once the pain subsided I decided I would stick with a more conventional ride.

It would climb over anything though. Next time I head through one of those rock piles I think an old Honda 90 step through will be the hot setup.

Try a mountain bike. It gives you a workout, helps your cardiovascular system, slims your paunch, delays aging,... and it's quiet, so a new-to-you experience of the natural sounds of the outdoors :light:
