MORE BANCOMER TALES

We have had a Fideicomiso with Bancomer for decades. We always pay our annual fee at the bank in Loreto, in full and on time. Yet again this year we received an email, from Tijuana, notifying us that our Fideicomiso fee had not been paid(!):

"This is a kindly reminder of your Annual Trust Fees with BBVA BANCOMER. We kindly appreciate your immediate payment in order to avoid fines and surcharges related to your Trust Contract F/xxxxxx"

We notified them immediately that we had paid in full more than a month ago, and received the following response:

"seems that our system incorrectly generated a pending balance"

So much for Bancomer computers!

Even banks work the mordida angle in Mexico, thinking that it's worth a try.
