Anyone fished Cedros Island lately?

trying to find out if the kelp beds on the North side are in good shape. Someone told me the higher water temps have killed it off.
Guess I will also do a Google Earth but who knows how old the photo is.

Also going to Fred Hall San Diego Friday and hopefully the Cedros Adventure guys will be there

Any info appreciated
Alan

Don't know on Cedros, but in Asuncion the kelp was much thinner this year than even just two years ago. Just a couple of acres of it here and there, where in the past we've seen quite a lot.

The locals said that the past three-four years have been really hard on the kelp (and abalone).
