It's being report there was a 5.7 magnitude earthquake this morning east of Loreto almost dead center in the Gulf of California. Anyone have any first hand reports?

What time did it occur?

The link said 15:15 hours, but did not say which time zone!

That time is correct. And it felt like a 5.7. Medium quake with little damage, one of those ones you have to sit down to feel. If walking or moving around you'll miss it.

"I read it was at 8:15am"

Both times are correct.

The USGS earthquake link uses Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). The time difference to Loreto from GMT is seven hours.

Hence, 15:15 GMT and 8:15 MST.
