Where to find a baja van on a budget?

Livin in San Diego, heading down to Baja for a surf trip. Where can I find a baja/surf van under 5K?

had the opportunity earlier in the week to buy a cool matte black ford van with the inside built out from my neighbor but passed it up and now regret it big time! not sure where to look. craigslist seems to be empty at the moment.

I`d hate to sell mine but should. 1990 Dodge road trek camper. Fridge, stove, bed, bath. It`s a beater, but will get you there and back. $3000.

good luck

In that pre-Google Earth and social media epoch, The Code was adhered to. It was based on a simple verity: if a locale had been transformational for you, and you had put the hard yards in to get there and to learn it, to know it, why in gods name would you broadcast the news, thus ruining the future experience not only for yourself, but for future adventurers?

Shade is at a premium along the peninsula, I would avoid black, or any other dark paint.

Since you live in San Diego, you are probably trapped into CA smog, taxes and registration fees, but if it will only be used for Baja trips, I would consider shopping Nevada or Arizona.

If you are not living on the edge, you are taking up too much space!
