Recommend paper map?
I'm old school (no smart phone) and am would like to get a decent map of Baja before making the drive north (haven't driven the Baja in over 11
years). I see the old AAA road map is now out of print... Can anyone recommend another decent road map that I can order before I leave?

For paper maps of baja still in print try National Geographic or Guia Roji. Should be able to buy either online.

after searching EVERY store I stopped at in baja I bought this on ebay...

I hate using paper maps. Been thinking of digitizing mine. Any do this, and if so how? Maybe a Fedex office would do it.

The Baja Bound (3rd link) source are brand new, uncirculated 2009 editions (the final edition). The price is half that of the others and older ones
for sale.

There is a Mexico: Baja California - mapa de la peninsula 2015 map that is quite decent, available at most Calimax stores. Also I bought a really
good itmb.com map of the Baja - platicised and pretty tough. Both maps have pretty good coverage of dirt roads and out-of-the-way places in my area
(Ensenada). I got that from Amazon.

If you like to use GPS thingies GARMIN has a good Baja map - my 10+ year old model has life time updates - a few years back when I updated I didn't
have enough memory to update all USA & one option was western U.S. and Baja, so now I update before I travel for the latest. It is pretty
accurate, even has the Punta Chivato dirt roads.

The AAA map even without showing most dirt roads showed enough, and because it had MILES between all the road junctions it was precious for trip
navigation and planning.

Garmin gps are pretty much garbage compared to apps that are available on phones now. Like MotionX. Much bigger and brighter screen. Much more
functional than the crappy standalone GPS UI's.
Run MotionX for roads and Navonics for the water and you are golden.

Two good maps is not a bad idea. I have never seen one that has all the detail. I recommend the Baja Almanac and the AAA map. have fun!
