Ford and Cummins, who would a thunk?
A better option for ford diesels than the Powerstroke.
What a monster for those who have no spending limits.
We can only hope these do not visibly smoke on acceleration, like some of the weekend truck programs do and are an abomination to mother nature when
they are burning rubber and emitting like a smokestack.
Thanks to all here.

Ford Cummins swap is common on pick ups. There are 3 company's that I know of to do swap. This was needed when Ford made the Junk 6.0 motor. Very cool
truck.

At that price I am sure the rolling coal system is already installed.
No aftermarket modifications needed.

If I had one of those big boys, I could still use my Kia like a dingy to get to and from the land yacht! I could probably rig up a hoist to take my
little Sporty aboard to use for short excursions to tight places.
If you are not living on the edge, you are taking up too much space!
"Could do better if he tried!" Report card comments from most of my grade school teachers. Sadly, still true!

That is because at the time they had a deal with Navistar International. Another great legendary engine.

Mid-2000s and Cumins 5.9 was not an uncommon feature of the F-650/750. In fact, but don't quote me on this, I think Cat C7s saw service with some as
well. Can't recall when Cumins went away ('11-ish perhaps?). Shaq's truck looks ridiculous. Hell, my truck looks ridiculous.
Chuckie, I had a 7.3. Sounded like a coffee can full of nuts and bolts, but damn that thing ran...and ran...and ran. Then came the the sad years.
Ford's current diesel (with Gen II updates) is a damn fine engine, by the reports I've seen. I've considered it. Hell, I'm still considering one
(F-450 pickup so I can have some damn power again, as opposed to my underwhelming, diesel chugging 5500 de-tuned Cumins combo).
You gonna eat that?

I)...BUt still burns no oil, keeps on going...My Daughter has two Duramax's ..Not impressed....

See now, I loved my D-max. I did a lot of work to it, but it had more power than I could use and got good mileage. In fact, I rather miss it. If
you mod those things so they aren't breathing their own farts, they be good. Really, there isn't a bad diesel out there now in the pickups, but I've
seen a few reports/pics of a certain 6.7 6cyl cracking pistons in that rear cylinder (tuned). Mine is so de-tuned that that will never happen (tunes
available, but nothing for the Aisin, so, basically, no tunes available for me).
You gonna eat that?

emission control systems in diesels for the last ten years have made it almost impossible for a consumer to afford a 8 cylinder diesel truck.
New diesels are not built to last 400k miles. They are built to last the warranty.
Shaq is running for sheriff and the truck will give him the 'walking tall' look he needs to win.

Ford never "owned" Cummins....they had a 10% share and a seat on the Board of Directors for less than 10 years (1990-1997). That was the extent of
their involvement.

Love my 6.0 and 5R110. Minor mods are all it needed. And the cost of those mods pales in comparison to $70,000 for a new truck! EVERY modern diesel
has its issues. Including Cummins and GM/Isuzu. Pile on haters!

Hey Doug;
I dropped a lifter on my '04 6.0 Liter and bought another engine. '06 6.0L with 40K. SHe's still pulling and running good. About to upgrade the
tranny pan to a '08 model. 10years. ~~200k miles @ $50k total no complaints with my ford.
