"Cross-Over" Road
From Blw San Vicente to Valle de Trinidad. We were wondering about the current condition of the road and if it was advisable to pull an empty car
hauler across it to retrieve a pre-runner. Thank you...

Wayno, I drove it last month (Apr) and for a Baja graded road, it was easy 2WD stuff for a truck or SUV. There is a big grade up and then way down,
going west. That being said, I cannot recommend trailers and definitely no motorhomes. It is below the quality of unpaved Hwy. 5. I posted photos of
it in my most recent trip report here (2017 trip #4).
You may not find it too bad, but if it is a long trophy truck size trailer, I think maybe no?

On a parallel thread on RDC, they are describing the crossover has hell. Trailers are ill-advised.

Excellent! I've been wanting to take my bike on that crossover road and do the circle around to Ensenada. This helped a lot. I wasn't sure how good
it was/wasn't. Looks pretty easy for an old duffer on a moto.

It is fun road on a dirt bike just real slow on blind curve's.We run that road to get many other trails. Its only wash broad so in some places trucks
rattle. Mexican Ranchers pull large horse trailers all the time. Problem If you meet on a turn one of you has to back up.

I have driven that road many times. The issue of driving after heavy rains was a bad experience due to the washouts on the drop-off side of the road.
I would not recommend doing it when traffic is heavy such as before a race. The road is pretty easy for a bike as compared to a full size truck. Of
course right after a race expect the road to be beat up from the heavy traffic. Maintenance usually take a while before the road gets worked over
after a race.
At normal times we often encounter local tourist drivers in typical Mx type autos.
