Mazatlan to La Paz ???


I am planning to take the Mazatlan to La Paz ferry in March `18, my question is where can I turn in the TIP and get my deposit back, Ensenada, Tijuana, Tecate ? Thanks in advance........

I did it near Otay on a week day, middle of the day and had no line.

I did it in Tecate before you cross at the immigration office.

thats great news. so,to be clear you returned your TIP at the immigration office , not customs? did they photograph your vin# ? and issue a credit to your credit card at the bank window? also how long ago was this done? i have gone well out of my way to other crossings under the impression it was not available at tecate. thanks, bob

I have had to detour from Tecate to Mexicali East to clear the TIP and get credit back. It may depend on where you are headed for in the US.
You could call the Banercito officce at the Pichalinque ferry terminal N of La Paz where permits are issued to cross to the mainland, to see if they can also cancel them.

i would love it if we had more confirmation of the tecate tip return. the folks at the pichalinque told me that service was not available in tecate. someone here in addition to fishhead must have done it too.
