Military Honors in Mexico


I know this isn't strictly Baja-related, but maybe one of you knows something about this question/subject. I received this on my Facebook page:

My father in law passed away here in the US but he was part of the Mexican army. His last wish was that we spread his ashes in Monterrey. My question is are there any honors for him to receive for serving in the military. And if so who would we contact we plan in going towards the end of summer.

Closest Army base is Ensenada. Visit/contact contact the base, probably initially ask for the base Chaplain and get details and contact info for the army base HQ in Monterrey which is in Military Region IV
