Mike's Sky Ranch

A San Felipe neighbor said the river pools and waterfall above Mike's Sky Ranch, not the hotel pool, are inaccessible due to last year's flooding. Has anybody been there lately. We usually ride our motorcycles to about 1/2 mile from the pools and hike the rest of the way, but have not been there in over a year. Thanks for any info.

What's the ride like from Tecate to MSR? Good or boring? Anyone have tracks?

I was east of mikes in January. The trail from tecate to mikes is mostly fast 2 track and graded road with only a few side trips to spice it up.

No tracks, but several routes are well marked on maps. This is probably one of the most traveled off-road trips in Baja. Try "Los Compadres Trail south from Rancho Veronica. But my post was asking about the pools at Mike's?

Sorry about the hijack. I didn't try to hike to the pools. Nothing seemed overly damaged near the creek at Mikes at couple of weeks ago.

That's what I needed to know. The kids are on their way down and the waterfalls in El Diablo will be too hot to hike this time of year.

No problem with the thread and thanks for the info.
