Massage and TCM (such as acupuncture)

Hi Everyone,

My first post, although I have been reading off and on for years.

I have health issues and I need to seek out inexpensive alternative medicine. Here is a bit more info on what we need. Maybe you all can offer some sage wisdom?

I need a good bit of massage and acupuncture, the latter being more difficult to find in Mexico per my online research. The obvious low cost region would be to go to SE Asia. However, the other piece is the only physical therapy I can manage with my complicated health is: rehab by Hobie Peddle Kayak. (Mirage system with sail, trimaran) and it's too long to get on a plane.

That said we are looking for a place to go for a few months to combine this on a budget. With what you know, would you go via rv? Or spend 85% of the time in La Paz at a rental near the malecon/marina?

Thank you,
Sailorv

There are numerous high quality acupuncture practitioners in the Ensenada area. They don't usually have websites, so can't always be found via Google. Where are you? You didn't say. Where do you want to be?

My bad, I did not make that clear, thanks. Not looking to go to Ensenada. Looking to beach camp at a few spots on the SOC but mainly La Paz.

First of all...welcome to this board.

Most of Nomad membership is well north of La Paz, so I suggest to join yahoo, and navigate to one of their groups such as http://www.groups.yahoo.com
Search for the type of group you are looking for, such as La Paz Gringos.
They would be the most knowledgeable people to provide you with La Paz medical services.

Look in the medical district in La Paz. People here know about acupuncture. They'll know of a skilled practitioner in the area. Ensenada even has a vet who does acupuncture for pets. If I remember correctly there is even a bit of a China Town in part of downtown La Paz - ask there.
