Nomad campground and motel recommendations for San Juanico (& Ligüí south) to Cabo, please.
With the distance so great, I don't get into Baja Sur as much as I would like.
What are places you like to use for camping and reasonably priced overnight rooms at the following places or others?:
San Juanico (Scorpion Bay), Lopez Mateos, Puerto San Carlos, and south to the tip.
More interested in small town location than cities, but if you can suggest a good place in Cabo, La Paz, etc. that would be appreciated.

This will be a beneficial thread for me too as I'm doing this same course in a few.
Hotel Mar de Cortex in Cabo gets good reviews and relatively cheap.

I have stayed in this hotel 3 times. Very nice rooms, pool, restaurant. Across the street from Cabo Wabo. Two blocks to the marina, and great shopping
nearby.

There's an RV park in the middle of Ciudad Constitucion on the east side of the highway. We spent one night there. Nothing special but a safe,
convenient place to spend the night if you're in an RV.

David, in san juanico check out Cowabunga. has a facebook site,
really cool guy. when i was there in april he was full but sent us to a similar place a block away that was great also. Cant remember the name but
either one is nice, and fair priced.

I like Martin Verdugos Las Barriles for my RV as well as the hotel. Most everything you need is within walking. Nice and clean and family run. A
little noisy in the morning when the boats go out but other than that, no complaints.

just got back from Puerto san carlos. spent a half day there, cool beaches all around. don't worry a bit about the dirt road that connects the paved
roads to lopez mateo and san carlos, through romaditas, smooth and fast. i took it north (from the san carlos rd. to romaditas) then NE to insurgents.
San Carlos had quite a few small motels.

DK, please disclose if this info will be published in a book of yours or others. Certain places should be left sacred from the masses. Let most find
it on their own especially in out of the way places. I'm just old fashioned that way. Few camp grounds or RV Parks in BCS because of high property

As I mentioned, campgrounds and motels Nomads recommend, not secret beaches of yours. I want to see them for inclusion in the Baja Bound guide.

Olas de Cerritos in Cerritos was really nice and I think was about $50 a night last year. Secure parking as well.
In that pre-Google Earth and social media epoch, The Code was adhered to. It was based on a simple verity: if a locale had been transformational for
you, and you had put the hard yards in to get there and to learn it, to know it, why in god�s name would you broadcast the news, thus ruining the
future experience not only for yourself, but for future adventurers?

Hotel 7 puntas in San Juanico. 4 Misiones in Ciudad Constitucion.Campsite at Conejo
San Carlos is a buthole. I´ve been there many times by sea and land. Don´t waste your time. The rest of the tip has many many options. Enjoy!

Thanks for the great replies. Keep them coming. This information is for me, as well...
I will be tent camping most nights (I have a tight budget) but I will use a motel every few nights or more, depending on how humid or buggy it is.
Any more great Baja Sur places that you want to help the owners of to get more business? Let's keep good places in business, as tourism in Mexico is
still hurting with the U.S. media pounding the death counts in Baja Sur into our heads. There is plenty of Baja for us all to enjoy the few days a
year we might stay at motels or campgrounds.
