Do you want to ride-along from Encinitas-Scorpion Bay?

¡Hola!
I am looking for somebody to ride-along with me later this week. I'm planning to drive down to Scorpion Bay on Wednesday 7/26 to catch some surf and fish next weekend. (It looks like there will be some swell...) I also plan to be back in San Diego on or around Friday 8/4. I have a 4x4 extended cab Toyota Taco, and there will be some room inside and on the racks for your gear and boards.

I am an experienced Baja traveler, though it's been a number of years since I've been to San Juanico. I already have year-around Mex insurance. If you'd like to ride along (and maybe do some driving?), shoot me a message!

I wonder about your user name.

Should "bigal77" be read as "bi-gal 77" with 77 being your year of birth?

Or is it "Big Al 77" and the 77 is a reference to your age?

Or something completely different?

I suspect you'll have greater success if the first reading is right. ;)

Why didn't you say you were a rolling elephant to start with?

Roll Tide, I'm a big fan of the Red Elephants since my navy days in the south. Nick Saban has done an excellent job and I hope he continues. I'm a little torn with the new season opening game with FSU since my uncle was a dean at FSU and Bobby Bowden was a favorite with me for years.

It is good you cleared things up. I was reading the user name as 'Big gal 77'!

Dang, I don't think you'll have problems caravaning... I feel like everyone is going down there this week!! ;)

In that pre-Google Earth and social media epoch, The Code was adhered to. It was based on a simple verity: if a locale had been transformational for you, and you had put the hard yards in to get there and to learn it, to know it, why in gods name would you broadcast the news, thus ruining the future experience not only for yourself, but for future adventurers?

Traffic jam on the salt flats. Once you get there all you see is a crowded lineup, same people you see in lineups in north county and the OC
