glasses, trash picker uppers! news, a donation

Hello all, Martha wrote to me today. She is one of the college sponsored students and broke her frames today - she needs new glasses. Her mom gave her used frames that she can use,but she needs to put lenses. Doctor Elizondo of Santa Rosalia told her she can do the lenses for $1840 pesos.

The photo posted is mom dad Martha and I just last month on my front porch....they came to bring me delicious mangoes from a relative's rancho. They do this every year - I love mangoes!

Anyone able to sponsor Martha's glasses?

Gwen and Harvey visited Bahia Asuncion and brought trash picker uppers that their son bought with his own money! A kid after my own heart! Thanks kiddo!!

The group of students who started college in 2013 will be graduating next year. I can hardly believe that my babies are growing up, will soon start working at awesome jobs. I choke up when I think about seeing them in graduation gowns. Every one of you who put in a kind word, donated or brought down a donation has been an integral part of this project. THANK U!

Clarissa diving - she will be a marine biologist:

Notebooks moving on down south! Joseph Zaragoza from Salt Junkies is on his way to La Bocana for the first time ever! He very kindly took all the supplies that Doug dropped off, as well as a TV we bought here in San Diego.

Turns out Joseph lives right around the block from my mom and here we are in front of Mom's house!

We fly to Loreto on Sunday and arrive home Monday morning. Envious that he will be in La Bocana before us.
