lou---The fred hall show is THE premier fishing show here in so-cal. It is at the long beach convention center, march 2-6 and at the del mar fairgrounds in san diego march 16-20. Lots of fishing outfitters are there for trips locally and world wide. The long beach show is huge, it takes hours to go through. The del mar show is a little smaller. fishin rich

Ah, the Fred Hall show. Please remind me to leave my checkbook, cash, credit and debit cards at home. Also remind me not to drink any beer while inside the show. And whatever happens, kick me out if I have any of the before mentioned instruments of exchange and am also drinking beer.
I'll be there, probably doing something stupid.
Thanks for your help.

Thanks for the info - sounds great - I think I'll try and restrain myself tho. Can't afford too much fun.

When I was a kid

I used to go to something called the "Sportsman's Show" at the old Pan Pacific Auditorium at Beverly and 3rd in LA. I am pretty sure it was produced by a guy named Fred Hall. This was maybe 50 years ago. Does anybody remember this, and do I have the name right and could this be the same guy? Or is this another senior moment?

Whistler, I will look in on Thursday at Long Beach. Ditmar and Donaldson, they built nice planked boats! Still many fishing the local waters here in So Cal.
Wanna buy one?

Glenn,
The last time you and I chatted we were not going to be able to go, but after reading the latest WON I can't help myself. We'll be there on Sunday, leaving Morro Bay around 5 am. Hopefully we'll see you there as well as a few other Amigos ...

This year I'am going to try to not wait on that long line to just get your ticket to get into the show. You can buy your ticket on line at this website.

Fred Hall Show

I am going to be in LA this weekend so I think I'll go to the show either friday afternoon or saturday morning. If you see a first-timer walking around say hi (you can see my photo on the BTR site). My good friends are there with their company West Coast Powercats.

Juanita is at the Bisbees booth. It took her three hours to just get there from Dana Point yesterday, so she will be leaving earlier today and you can find her around 3:00pm on. She will also be there all weekend, with Wayne(Bisbee). I bet this weekend will be packed and fun! Sally
