Interesting for those that rent out their casitas
Very interesting. I guess I always knew it but still. I know a lot of non-residents rent out their places in Baja.I just wonder how they could ever
track it.

or a local hotelier that you are taking money out of his pocket basically... he is licensed and pays taxes,
We have talked to some that it has happened to...
Lot of folks get away with it whether right or wrong... seems like a great idea to with your expenses..
not much of a way for them to know unless as stated, you are turned in or a complaint is filed, or if you advertise the rental....

Yeah I think American owners of a rental property in Mexico should pay Mexican taxes on the monthly income just like the Mexican landlords do.
Oh, and they should pay American income taxes on the Mexican income too. Sure.........

They don't get double taxed. You can claim a credit on your US taxes for taxes paid in Mexico
