The British Are Coming!

Or I should say at least one journalist from the U.K.-based Telegraph, who posted this review of the Todos Santos Inn. In my opinion, it's unduly harsh with the exception of the knocks for its proximity to Avenida Topete. Rooms right on the road will hear traffic going up and down that main thoroughfare to El Otro Lado. But rather than ding it for its proximity to other restaurants, I consider that a decided plus. Truth be told, when my wife and I visited the Todos Santos Inn, we came away saying "we could live here".

Digging a little more deeply, it seems the same publication had higher priase for the Guaycura Hotel. They're both stellar properties, but the Todos Santos Inn is an oasis within an oasis.

The photos of the Inn look amazing! The décor is so pretty. The description of an oasis in an oasis seems right on.

Reread the review and couldn't find anything ''unduly harsh.'' The ''terrace'' gets no sunlight -- guess that could be considered gloomy. Didn't find anything else critical in the review.

Had Thanksgiving dinner at La Copa one year and wife got sick for days. Bar has character and is fine.

Doubt locals hang here -- tourists, yes. And the Guaycura across the street is a nicer place for not much more money.

Think it's easy to be enamored with Todos. A lot depends on where you're coming from. For anyone else, traffic on Topete would be a deal breaker.

Reviews for La Copa Cocina at the Inn.
