i seem to recall that some nomad here said the best response is to act insane when stopped by the police -- deters the cops. but over-acting could get you committed for a psych hold?

Counterfeiting the DL could work, or could backfire worse than an expired license.

Don't know if Ca DL these days are that low-tech and easy to print. My DL is Canadian, not very easy. There is a regular photo and a smaller photo with DOB numbers that can be read at certain angles, like those old 3-dimensional photos. And a metallic print with govt logo - laser printer won't do this. And a magnetic strip like on credit card - I could print a fake strip, but have a feeling that many card readers would read it if the DL was genuine - it's just a magnetic strip with personal data.

I thought that a ticket could be written and payment made by mail. What area is that in and by what cops? Fed,municipal or city. Or all three?

You got to be really dumb to think the cops are dumber than you. I encourage you all to show those fake IDs. And, yes, the cops are smart enough to read a license expiration date.

I like the USA reality show, "cops"
Is there a Mexican version? There should be!
