Hard surface Parking next to water
Hi there guys,
I'm riding solo in my motorcycle down Baja and planning to camp out for one night between Santa Rosalia and Loreto. My bike is a big touring machine
that unlike me doesn't perform well in loose sand. any suggestions?
I would like to have a line of sight between me and the bike.

Santispac beach just south of Mulege is one place where you can get close to the water with the bike without having to deal with loose sand. This
beach is my personal favorite for beach camping for years and there are many similar beaches on Conception bay that are equally scenic.

Yes, Santispac is good for any size motorcycle. Sometimes the short entrance drive is a little rough but not usually a problem. What are you riding?

Very funny.
There is no parking fee. I don't know how much it costs to camp.

I think I last paid about five bucks/day for RV and Jeep. So little I don't remember exactly.

Police stations are almost always safe and they do provide some level of entertainment. Tho not always. And camping is cheap. You might even get a
room if not occupied. Try that in the U.S. God I love Mexico.

Last winter it was 100 pesos per night. Many days the fee collector wasn't there.

Santispac is always good. I like the beach camp in the southern most area. Take the slightly above the tide road to the right. Your bike will make
it. Actually, your bike will get you into any of the great camps spots on the Bahia.
Traveling Baja for 50 years.

There are other campos close to the highway, it's just that Santispac is the first you come close to the bayshore at. That one (and most others are
NOISY at night either from rowdy campers who play their music way loud during holiday season or from semi trucks using their Jake brakes to slow
down). Explore other possibilities nearby. Several are right off the highway, so no sandy or rocky (much) travel for a street bike.

You will still be driving in sand, although it's pretty compact as I remember. You might be well advised to take a small board or something to put
under your kickstand.
