Baja.com not conecting to database?

Greetings,

If this is in the wrong forum area I hope some moderator can move it.

The Baja.com website is having problems connecting to its back end database. can anyone else verify this and perhaps contact the appropriate people?

I have already left a message at the phone number provided 2 days ago.
Best
Chris

Chris, I presume you mean a Baja.com moderator who may be on Baja Nomad?

Baja.com does not have a forum (I don't think) so, no moderator... only a web host.
All the failed links to maps and other places (I saw those too) may just mean the site is not monitored frequently or abandoned? Let's hope not.
Until it is fixed, you can see plenty still on other sites, such as Carlos Fiesta's Baja Expo site, even though Carlos died when his plane crashed a few years ago, our mutual web host friend is keeping it alive: http://www.bajaexpo.com/
Another, even older Baja travel site is Jen's Baja-Web, also kept online by Dick VanBree: http://www.baja-web.com/
Sadly, Baja Quest (another Baja Travel website has gone offline. It did have a forum often used by Mulegé and Punta Chivato area folks.

On my website, I have a links page to the ones mentioned here, and others of interest: http://vivabaja.com/davidslinks.html

I just figured there would be someone here who was familiar with the site operator.

their search tools for rental properties looked easy to use.
I am trying to nail down something in the Cabo san lucas area for New years.

everything else on my itinerary seems to be falling in place.
Thanks again for all the help.

Cheers

It loads for me. Maybe it was down temporarily for maintenance.

It's probably temporary as some pages are still online. David K's recommendations as good, except for specific businesses on BajaExpo which are unfortunately outdated with contact information on most (David U2U me on that please).

Where are you looking for a rental? Most of us know recommendations.

I sent a message to Jim Pickell, the site owner. I am unaware how involved he is in day-to-day oversight there however. I don't know the web developer who appears to be based out of Philadelphia.

Jim did respond to my message this morning - and indicated that he would investigate the issue.
