Baja 1000 route

Want to camp out on race course in San Ignacio area. The Score map is not very specific. Does a more detailed one come out later? Thanks

If I was going to spectate and camp, I would probably go down-course from San Ignacio (way before the race course is live) and camp somewhere near the lagoon/Pacific. Trucks will be screaming fast through there. If you camp on the ocean side of the course, you'll probably escape dust. If it was me.

The map posted, while not super detailed, does show the highway and the planned course is well to the west and then south of the highway coming into San Ignacio. The course will be marked in the next week, so a day before the race, follow the ribbons and Score arrows to a place to watch... Keep in mind the wind direction in the day for dust and be at a place you can leave without driving on the course, especially driving the wrong direction!

Leaving San Ignacio, it appears they are using the paved road towards Laguna San Ignacio for a few miles, at least.

Google Earth is your friend to see possible escape or access roads to the course.

Trophy Trucks will be in San Ignacio between 9-10 pm ish ... and other fast class leaders throughout the middle of the night ... so if you're thinking you wanna watch at night perfect.

Motos will be earlier in the daytime ...
