I think they mean 35k room nights, not individuals.
Woke!

My youngest Son and his wife just got back from 6 days in San Jose Del Cabo at the "Cabo Azul" (?) hotel, and the info he got was that it was 35K
reservations had been cancelled. He went on further to say that there were 2 to 4 murders a day happening while there in the Los Cabos area, all very
hush-hush as far as the news went, but that they personally saw 3 bodies during that time within 3 blocks walking distance from their hotel, and the
reports via the internet were prolific with photos also. He never heard any shots, however. He said it was downright bazaar, but only the tourists
were alarmed, not the natives!!!! He was told it was mostly (all?) drug-cartel related, but at least 2 by-standers were killed as well while he was
there, and he saw both the bodies laying where killed with police everywhere,. They have no intention of ever going back! I just got off the phone
with him.

Barry,
Thanks for that, good to hear direct reports.
I, for one, miss the good natured and intelligent back-and-forth between you and Tony.

Wow that is certainly something to consider if one is planning a trip to Cabo. While it is a war between the drug cartels as shown here bystanders can
be victoms too.

Thank you, Santiago. Tony was a good man!!!!
Something I forgot to mention in my Los Cabos report above is that my Son and Daughter-in-law, both not that knowledgeable or experienced with Mexico,
loved their inter-actions with the locals other than the casual attitude about everything which they were not use too, they had a good time. They got
out a lot from the hotel, both on foot and by rental car, so they saw a good slice of San Jose Del Cabo, and a little of Cabo San Lucas also. It was
mostly the mayhem close around them that freaked them out, and it did negatively effect their experience, to put it mildly. It's such a shame! They
experienced no problems with the hotel (Cabo Azul, I think) but they did mention that it certainly was not booked to capacity, but maybe 1/2 to 2/3rds
full.
On edit: Thanks, Wesson, for your kind comments also.
