Have You Ever
Frightened a Rottweiler?
Last night I was so angry about something (not at them) that they vanished out the dog door into the yard.
I went to bed, still seething, and they came in and laid on top of me, holding me until I calmed down.

OK Jan,
Never had a Rottweiler, but have had Dobermans my entire life. Because they have a similar lineage, I suppose this will apply: Dobs get their
feelings hurt easily, and they get very concerned for you when you get upset. They don't like a lot of drama from their people. So stay calm as
much as possible. Great Dogs.....

Yes, Rottweilers Are Also Very Sensitive
I don't have any guilt about my reaction to the situation, but I do feel bad about how my emotions affected the dogs.

Our poor English Springer Spaniel gets spooked easily by any snapping sound...swat a fly and he goes running away FASSSSSSSSSSSSSSST
We flew him over when he was a toddler (4 months) from England to U.S. below, in the cargo area. We presume noises he heard then scared him. He is
12 years old and like I say, if he hears a SWAT, he is gone like a flash.
But then again, he was absolutely fearless when he went thru waves here in La Bocana as a little one! He would go so far out that I was afraid for
his life. He loves the ocean more than anything else in the world. Barks like there is no tomorrow out of shear glee.
Let's post some doggie pics everyone?

Our First Male Rottweiler
Was bought from the granero across the street from the Super Calimax at the north end of town.
Some surfer kids from San Diego sold him to the granero so they could buy gas.
He spent his life being sad. He always watched traffic as if he could find his first people. When we traveled to San Diego, he wore a safety harness
and one time, when he saw us walking away from the car, he leapt out of the window.
Luckily, his distress caught my attention and I was able to get back and catch him in my arms.
