Missing Kayak ~ Mulege area

My neighbor's kayak was blown away during the big wind Dec. 8th. They have scoured the beaches of Santa Inez and posted fliers in Mulege without results. We're hoping someone has found it and would like to claim a nice reward. It's a grey tandem Hobie Mirage drive. There was one seat and a paddle with it. Please send any info to mia@coastguardhouse.com
Here is the model and it is grey not red

This is it from the top

I was on Playa Santa Inez the days after the wind, but didn't see it. It's a long beach, and it may be worth checking with the local guys living there.

...am seriously interested to buy the pedal drives if the kayak isn't found.

I'll be down in the region in mid jan through late feb,, will also have a similar but non pedal kayak ,, happy to sell or trade in february.

.. I've been known to build boats,, would love to build a lightweight cold moulded wood boat around a pair of pedal units. ;D

Thanks everyone for the replies. Shari, we had the quad patrols out to all the beaches we thought it would blow up on. Even had a plane out searching. So far nothing so we think someone has it already.

Must be in Sta Rosalia or Loreto by now. Or sitting wedged in the rocks on some shore without road access, and where nobody with panga lands either. I've paddled all this stretch in the past, about 50% of the shore in this area is like this - difficult to land in any but very calm weather, and can't access from the shore.

I've just been informed that a fisherman in Mulege found it and answered the flier posted in Mulege. The kayak is now home and the owner is really excited.
