Dk,
I was here in 1967 and got a photo of your dad!

I was north bound, south of Punta Prieta, on 11-22 and saw a guy driving a Nissan Leaf towing a trailer with a generator on it.

That's dedication to the fuel source....

DK there's tons of happiness! It's just funny in that a ship that was seen 50 years ago has anything to do with a guy needing diesel today.

Nothing more nothing less. Just funny!

This morning we took a chance to make it to the intersection Highway 1 coz the gas station gave up saying ‘mañana’. Luckily we got 20lts (30pesos per lt)at the garage place from Chunnu (adviced in Bay of LA). Later we filled up in Pemex happily.

Now propane, gas & home shopping done.

First rule of speaking Spanish vs. Mexicano is, ''manana'' doesn't mean 'tomorrow'.... just means 'not today'. :smug:

Back when I was in the Navy (yeah, I know, all the ships were wooden) we defined a ship as any vessel too large to be loaded upon a ship.

And, great advice on fuel in Baja. Again, way back when.... there was no pavement past Camalu, we always visited a few ranch houses when we ran low and always scored enough to make the next gas stop.

And finally, whew.... sure is hard for some folks to restrain the effort to be funny on a serious post.... and of course fail in that effort, as in "Sorry, not so funny"

My oh my....you certainly contribute more critical and negative trolling lately....need a prescription review or what.

You make the Goat sound mellow...

Take a few deep breathes and back away from the keyboard next time you get the urge :light:

I didn't know they had rules on sulfur content back in 1967? That would be a factor for sure..Would that old diesel be any good after sitting so long? Where would you even get it tested?
