I am sure the store owners are so frustrated...did you read in the comments that the police actually robbed someone's house and RETURNED the stuff when they heard that there was video footage of the whole scene?

That one takes the cake.

Sanctioning Group Vigilantism is Never the Answer


It is understandably frustrating and worrisome for resident foreigners and tourists that (mostly) property crime is rampant and official corruption is endemic, but unleashing the beast that is group vigilantism can be a far more dangerous response leading to those not guilty of the (or any) crime suffering from the crowd frenzy.
