Here is my first draft of the next map on my list... Did I get the names right?

Good question Bob.
I checked my notes, and I did write Los Amigos... I think I took a photo of the sign... I will check. The Almanac does show it as Dos.
Edit: Sign was in sad shape, but I do think it is Dos. So, I will fix, thank you!

While I have read about the prison gifts for sale here on Nomad, I slowly passed the entrance road and saw nothing inviting tourists to drive in. It
could be added in the future, no problem.

Driving South out of Santa Rosalia for about 2 miles there is a large modern complex on top of a hill on the left. It shows up on Google. What is
it?

It's a University I believe.

lots of local kids go to the university on the hill...the future

As I said, I did not see anything that looked inviting from the highway. Can you post a photo of it?
While it is very unique, I am trying to imagine what tourists on their first visit will actually want to go to a prison in Mexico with their families?
Maybe after a few trips when they are ready for a new thrill? Again, if I saw that sign, I would have driven in. My thinking was maybe the gift shop
was no longer open.

Hi David,
I am sorry I have not let you know how much I like the maps and I like the K markers listed. I am heading up to Sta. Rosalia tomorrow to print off the
information for our fishing tournament and can check out anything you need re-verified.
For BajaBill74 I think he is talking about the newer neighborhood being built on the road out to Santa Aqueda. They advertise in town and state they
have three different styles of homes available, but I have not stopped in only driven by. One thing most of them do have is a very nice view.
And also it is still Playa Dos Amigos RV park.
You take care and keep up the great work, let me know if you need anything.

PS - The College is closer to town right on the coast. The road to it cuts by the old family park/alberca (abd.) north of the "old" Federales station
house (abd.) through the arroyo and up the hill.

Back in The Day you'd enter the prison courtyard with guards and haggle price with the inmates through a very high chain link fence... and I'll tell
you, it makes you behave better in Baja seeing what the inside looks like. One does NOT wanna be a guest in that hotel. The gift shop makes it much
more amenable to tourists, less confrontational. Great art too; I have a houseful of it, good stuff and good prices. Prolly bought 30-40 pieces over
the years. Highly recommended if you like that kind of thing.

BajaOkie, from the road I couldn't see the houses, but here they are. Driving South they are on the left of Hwy 1 and Santa Agueda is on the right.
(Not in the picture.) Hwy 1 is on the left of the image.

Here are some photos of the prison. There isn't a gift shop sign on the highway, as I recall. It's word of mouth. When I went, it was all families
coming to see inmates. The guard escorts you to the gift shop, which is small but with beautiful hand-crafted items. I had a good talk with an inmate
there, and bought a necklace of abalone he had made.

Thanks, Gueribo... I presume photography in the prison wasn't allowed?
I also appreciate your confirmation that (still) no sign points to the gift shop or invites visitors, on the highway.

No, I don't think so. As I remember, I took nothing inside except a few pesos. You pass through a guard gate to be questioned before going inside.
