denturist

My wifey went and chipped a tooth in her top plate so we need to find a denturist in either GN or Mulege
She is very beautiful and a chipped front tooth is not good.
(nice cover huh Ged ??)
If at all possible we would prefer an english speaker but if need be I could stumble my way through.
Any help here ??

Is a trip to La Paz an option? My dentist in La Paz is excellent, specializes in cosmetic dentistry, speaks great English, and is a very nice person as well!

I did not plan on visiting La Paz last winter, but broke a tooth while near Mulege. She is good enough that I did not even try to find a closer dentist, I just changed my plans.

I showed up with no appointment, and she was able to work me into her schedule that same day! Let me know if you need her pnone number or e-mail address (she does return e-mails).

If you are not living on the edge, you are taking up too much space!

"Could do better if he tried!" Report card comments from most of my grade school teachers. Sadly, still true!

Timo, a side note on the SR dentist. He doesn't speak English, but he's quite the hoot to deal with. My gal had some extensive work done with him, he'd drive out to San Lucas to talk with us if needed. Also sings opera while he works. Take note, he works day hours at the hospital, and in the clinic after 3 pm.... or at least used to.

now he has a crew...maybe 4 people

the office is open all day

appointment is suggested for the "correct specialist"

he has a guy that does the fake teeth stuff

he speaks way better English now
but if you take a cell and type and translate
they can do the same

talking is NOT a problem with this new tech stuff
it seems ALL residents have a cell phone with data these days in santa rosalia

Glad to hear the good Doctor recovered from the last beeeg SR flood. He lost almost all his equipment, was working with bare bones and old stuff when we saw him last, but that was years ago. He's a good guy.

Hey Tim, check with Zoe or Paul Camacho in BA. They know the guy in Vizcaino. I use him too but don’t have his information handy. He’s good, has his own lab on site, inexpensive, but speaks little English.

Gabby at The Mulege Dentist is great. Repairs, plates etc. She uses a lab in La Paz to have plates made, 24 hour turn around. As you are facing the arch from the highway, her office is on the left.

success:
Thanks Paul
I talked to Paul Camacho for instructions
An hour and a half later, I came away knowing there is a denturist in Viz and that he's across the street from a guy that used to own horses but they died don'tcha know.
We went to Viz and and hooked up with Felix at La Favorita and he took us to the same denturist.
Bottom line is that we were there about 45 min. and the job was done.
Excellent job and $300 pesos later we were out of there.
Thanks again for the help and if anyone should need the info for this doctor please don't hesitate to ask.
On a side note:
We didn't drag a small empty trailer with us so the risk factor getting to town was drasticaly reduced. Probably never would have made it with a trailer

Glad it worked out for Barb, we will be seeing you two in about a week and a half. PM me if you need us to bring down anything for you (or anybody else in BA) from Costco.
