International pet health certificate from you vet issued just before your trip... is suggested.

Cat Papers

Your vet should know the certificate that is David K mentioned that is technically required. We travel by car with our dog back and forth and I have never once been asked for it or any other paperwork on the dog for that matter. That has just been my experience. If you're flying its a whole different story and you'll need the paperwork.

Agree, dogs are easy... but since cats may not get rabies shots as they are not licensed like dogs are, this suggestion seemed wise?

Some counties require a cat license. LA County is one.
