Here's a couple photos from the SF250, starting at Contingency:

My race day started at RM25 with our three cars passing by. Then the Bandini hit the Westinghouse and my job morphed into search and rescue. Our first destination was RM45, which required driving to the north end of Diablo Lake, then backtracking on a powerline road to the east. Our second destination was the main pits at RM153 where we learned we were now rescuing the #250 truck at RM91. We accessed the course at La Ventana, then drive around a dozen miles up course, but staying off the course (eg bush whacking). VERY slow going.

While running to RM45, we bumped into the OX Memorial.

Main pits RM153.

The #50 departs the pits.

#250 on the move again after 3 hours of downtime at RM91

This is the #250's second race. Its first race was the 2017 Baja 1000 where it won its class.

Nice COPS report, thanks

Interesting side note about the huge amount of money spent in San Felipe during the race week

Hello again. We’ve just gotten through the 32nd Score-San Felipe Baja 250, here in sunny and serene San Felipe and parts beyond. It was a tough race, they say, but it was a lot of fun and very good for our economy. Unfortunately, we did have a couple of fatalities with two spectators. We also had a couple of motorcycle accidents, one with a broken leg and another airlifted to the United States in critical condition. We had a good presence of the military, municipal police, federal police and a few others. They say the economic benefits to this race are ¨Between 5 to 6 million dollars, equivalent of 89 million to 106 million pesos.” The downside, of course, is the garbage on the beaches and mega garbage out in the desert, although the article I read said they were sending down people to help clean up the mess
