Best bus from TJ to Guerrero Negro
One of our regular traveling guys has to go to a family wedding in early June right in the middle of our annual trip.
The wedding is in Temecula and we are thinking that we could get someone to deliver him to TJ and he could catch a premium bus down to GN.
Recommendations?
I have ridden the bus out of Mexico City to various places and those are really comfortable and easy
So, what is the very best bus line for comfort and convenience down the Baja?

About 4 months ago I took a friend to the bus terminal in Tijuana and put him on a bus to Bahia Asuncion. The bus stops in Guerrero Negro though.
I believe there are two buses ABC and Aguila that leave from that terminal.

Actually it is another of our brethren, from the same occupation as BV (You fill in the blank, David)
I took the gentleman in question down to Fontana Sunday for his first ever NASCAR event.... down and back in a mere 17 hours, 50 miles round trip,
plus 400 miles of racing to watch...
guess if he could make that trip he could ride the big bad bus down to GN.
(Do they allow cervezas on the bus??- makes the trip go faster)

The ABC bus from TJ to Ensenada is quite nice. The buses are modern with comfortable seating, and there are TV screens that show a movie (fortunately
I had my Kindle, because the movie on my last trip was The Princess Diana Story). I assume based on the rider's profile that he'll be ok with the
driving style of the ABC bus drivers, which is pretty much flat out flying, regardless of how far a drop it is off the nearest cliff.

it was a long day
I am reading the time table and seeing an 11 hour ride from TJ to GN
Sounds about right.
We will try to amp him up for this,

I travel the bus alot and I highly recommend Aguila over ABC...much cleaner and nicer bus and service.

When we were coming back from La Paz recently, we saw brand new buses flying by. They look really nice.
Note: if you travel at night, the bus is stopped at all check points and all the passengers must get off and grab their suitcase for it to be opened
and checked. Makes for a really long night. I recommend traveling by day!

Thanks for all the input
Looks like the Eagle flies by day
and the ABC by night, so I would think the day tripper was better,
plus I trust Shari (Heck, I camped out at her place some time back and we survived.... did end up taking home a damn dog but that is another story)
Anyway, we will try to cram our compatriot onto one of the flying Eagles in early June and hope for the best.

Remember South Park episode where their plane crashed in Canada and they asked how to get to the capital Ottawa. - Just follow the road - Which road?
- You're in Canada, there is only one road. (There is indeed only one cross-country highway, called Highway #1).
There is nothing to recommend because there is no choice.
There is only one company - or 2 of them, sharing the route - Aguila/ABC.
There is only one terminal in Tijuana where you can board that long distance bus to GN: Central Camionera in East part of town, near Otay. Go to the
sign Aguila and pay. Don't recall seeing ABC sign on the terminal, but it doesn't matter, same buses, same price.
Buses leave 4 or 5 times a day: noon, 6pm, 9pm, midnight. More-less.
They don't announce the boarding, you need to keep an eye on it.
Takes 11-12 hours to GN.
I tried both day and night buses. Day trips - noon - didn't feel much better because it was taking longer than in the night, more traffic, more people
in the bus. And boring, nothing to look at.
Military stops work day and night, and it equally sucks getting out in daytime as it does in the night. Last time, in the night, with only few
passengers, they only stopped once and nobody had to get out with luggage. Soldier went in, looked, opened cargo holds briefly, and was gone. They
check Northbound traffic more, as I've noticed.
Good news is, - buses are comfortable tourist class. With A/C, washroom and forceful overhead movies. They turn movies or music off in the night, of
course.
