holy mackerel, the facebook page says he went out to dinner and was walking home at 8 pm

next morning neighbor finds his trailer open, wallet gone and ATV down some street, no key in it.

crummy world sometimes. downright crummy.

I do hope he is found and comes home....

Pretty thorough description of events:

HI, I created the group to get as many people involved in searching for Larry as possible. I know everyone has a lot of questions, I will give you only confirmed facts.

1. Larry had dinner Tuesday night at Los Pichus diagonally across from Star Mart with 3 friends.
2. He walked home from there at about 8pm.
3. Around 8am on Wednesday a neighbor found his gate open and trailer unlocked. Apparently only things missing appeared to be wallet and ATV (his phone was found in the trailer). So we are looking at a 12 hour gap of his disappearance.
4. Friday a search turned up his missing ATV at 4:15pm on the road going west up from Diamanté Real Estate to where it dead ends by a yellow house....the grey unfinished concrete block "hotel" is just to the southwest of there.
5. There was fuel in the ATV but the key was gone.
6. La Paz hospitals and jails all checked and police, federales, and US consulate as well as Larrys sister all contacted.
7. Saturday police questioned people who had last reported seeing him, etc
8. Saturday more searches were conducted and an American man from La Paz who does missing person searches and investigations came to help and talk to officials.

I have not added specific names on purpose. Police know who they are. Our local gringo contact will be Chris Dyer. There is also a what's app group that has been formed. I will post any updates on here as I find out.

Gary was in the middle of no where. Larry was in the middle of a town where there is a large population of people from North of the border. Not really very similar.

Update from the FB Group within the last hour:

Quote:

UPDATE - PROMISING NEWS!!!!!!
The 2 other possible sightings of Larry seem to check out. A woman saw him riding his ATV Wednesday morning around 7-8am near where it was found. Dogs just confirmed he was there. Also on Sat night/Sun morning 2am he was seen near Rancho Ancon (up past the big hill heading towards La Paz from La Ventana) standing on the side of the road. He appeared confused and disoriented. Dogs have also CONFIRMED his scent there leading up the road towards La Paz. Dogs lost the trail near the road, leading us to believe he was picked up by a vehicle.

We have had other POTENTIAL sightings in the Walmart area. Larry may be seriously confused and disoriented, and he may have hitchhiked a ride.

Quote:

The Wed sighting was on April 4th. The Sat/Sun sighting was 2am the 8th. The possible WalMart area sightings were a few days ago.

Missing baja resident

Missing laventana local from the 3rd with promising potential, we have been doing searches in our area and we have some potentially good news the search dogs have found sents in location people believed that saw him up our mountain and then we have a sighting near walmart in LaPaz . He may have suffered a stroke or be seeking pain meds as he had a nasty accident a few months ago. He is reported as being very disoriented. His family has flown down to search. Please post these flyers. He could have gone any direction from LaPaz.

His father passed away at exactly this age from heart-related. At the dinner the night before one of the friends noted to me that he was like in another world in his mind and distraught about the healing progress of his feet.

Does anyone in your area have the capacity to get a drone up? They can cover a lot of ground?

Would that even be a possibility ?

The drone would have to get close enough to each individual to be able to recognize their face .

I personally would want to shoot down any Mother-Frickin drone that was buzzing me. How about you ?

O K , that reminds me of,,,,

A while back I was at Hussong's Cantina about 7 PM to get an early start. I was fortunate to get a corner seat at the bar close the the entrance, a prime spot.
Ordered up a Don Julio 70 ( might as well be 70 as the Don Julio plata is the same price ) and a Tecate back...

Well if you have ever ordered a shot from Hussongs than you know that what you receive is easily a two + shot in a single old fashion glass. For about $4.50 or so. Quite the deal .
I think is was a Thursday night but it really doesn't matter much as any night at Hussongs is a great night.
Well this particular night the Mariachis were in fine form and everyone was swinging to to sounds of fun... Personally my favorite is if there is a tuba player included in the Mariachi band but that doesn't always happen.
I do remember dancing with a Gringa that was with a bachelorette party and had a fun time. But that's where it ends until I wake up in my hotel room groggy as Hell and in quite a fog... The TV's sill on and I see some Mexican porno going on but I don't have time for that at this moment .
First things first I search around and find a lifesaving bottle of water, guzzle it down and feel much relief until I realize, Holy crap , I gotta pees ! I stumble to the can and take a looong much need leak.
Well now regrouping forces and wondering how tha flock did it get here ? I glace over at the night stand and see two things that look like quesadillas sitting there. Sure enough they are, so I commence to devour them, man are they good. Even cold , I figure out they are bean and cheese and still to this day I have no clue how they got there.?

I'm just happy I ended up in my hotel room with nothing missing, Except maybe a few thousand brain cells.

But Brains cells well spent...... You certainly don't want to die with unused brain cells now do you ? It would be quite the waste.

Since I've given up all hope, I feel much better

What became of this dude? any thoughts? I have heard many different thoughts locally but nobody seems to have an answer. It is a little disturbing that an apparently normal guy would just disappear. Involved with wrong people, random, wanting to disappear or peeed off the wrong person? It is just not normal for someone to just vanish, albeit this is Mexico.
