The Optimal U.S. National Parks Centennial Road Trip
12 of the national parks are in Alaska, Hawaii, and other U.S. territories, which can make them difficult to drive to unless you have a flying car.
Thus for road trip, we’re going to focus on the national parks that span the 48 contiguous states in the mainland United States. Don’t worry: that
limitation still leaves us 47 national parks, which should be plenty for one road trip.

Not all deals are directed towards seniors. We will be backpacking with our kids in Yosemite and Sequoia next week. We found that our fourth grader
qualifies our entire family to receive free entry into all parks all the way through August...an unexpected and appreciated savings.
So for those Nomads with a younger brood, get them out there early and often....for free!

The Senior pass for the National Parks is The Best Deal ever. about 4 years ago we took our trailer to Yellowstone and stayed in an RV park about a
half hour away for a week. Each day we would drive into the park to see another section. Others were paying 25 bucks to get in and we just showed
them the card and went in for free. Saved a ton. Again, best deal ever. Get one.

Great thread, not so accurate on the map side
Starting in FLA you find the Dry Tortugas, spotted on the map in Key West.
Been there, one of the really rare and exotic national parks,
And Key West is where you get on the float plane for the one hour flight out to the Civil War prison on the rock.
Where Dr. Samuel Mudd was incarcerated after the Lincoln assassination.
