Mood: yearning for baja

La Ventana campground

Hola Everyone, checking in to see how the campground in La Ventana is doing....still there?... it has been about 4 years for me.

How are Pablo and Heali, son Nelson? I think. They owned the tienda across the street.

And...are the Pemex's all taking credit cards now? I hope to have a dive/fish trip the last three weeks in July.

Thanks to all, Ron

Pablo, Nelson and Jesse and Mom are all there at Viento Norte though it might close during off season now. The campground is undergoing a renovation with more clearly identified camp spots to limit the space per vehicle since many people took huge spots though it's still quite large per spot for full size rv plus awning etc... The place fills up come Nov 1 but it's empty right now of course though there is occasional wind from the south or north and a few sailors. Many restaurants now, some still open, mtb trails, fishing and hot weather nowadays etc.

In another thread someone posted a picture of the new concrete markers. Does anyone know how much distance is between the concrete markers?

I just found a post on Facebook that says that most spaces are 19 feet wide.

Yes, that's correct - many are 19' and some wider. But hey, 19ft is plenty wide for your trailer, awning and sailbarn, right?

And you'll love these concrete camp site "curb" dividers too!!
