Everywhere is a ghost town

Anyone else walking around in a ghost town? Mexico vs Sweden
Normally open businesses are closed and crowded streets are empty. Tijuana and rosarito are empty. Maybe all the thieves are watching the game too and I can surf the sketchy spot. Venga Mexico!

Venga is correct, vamonos is not.
Venga is the way is expressed in Spain.
If you want to use the verb "ir" it would be "Vamos Mexico"

I never would have thought I would be rooting for So. Korea ??

And with Korea's exciting win over Germany, Mexico advances by the skin of a tortilla...

Since I've given up all hope, I feel much better

Germany should have been out the previous game. Only got saved by a miracle last second free kick goal.

Thank You Spanish expert. I had not heard the expression Venga Mexico from a Mexican in that context.

Mexico's resounding defeat and Brazil's win means that Mexico will face Brazil in the next round.

Brazil is probably the favorite now, after the ouster of Germany.
