Oloroso en los Cerros
This is a magic time in the mountains as all the orange trees are blossoming. The aroma fills the Baja Bamboo Park with the most outstanding
fragrance and it looks as if it will be a good year for miel.
Los Barriles has had wind so the fishermen are being outnumbered by the windsurfers at this time.
There was a caravan here of 40 motorhomes of guess what, single senior women. Mostly in their late 60's and 70's I would guess.
I saw them when I was returning from Los Barriles and wondered why it was all women driving. Strange
I see a caravan almost every day down here and am wondering where they put them all. Yikes!

Orange trees in Flower
I know the smell to well. When I come up the mtn I go threw acres of orange trees. When in bloom I just have to stop if its early eve. Its almost
intoxicating so wonderful. Missed you while in La Baca. Hugs Cynda RE: where they all stay you might want to invite them to hang with you for a fee.
I am sure a few can cook.

I never even thought of that. And from the looks of em, they probably whip up a pretty mean pie
Now I really wonder where they put them! If it weren't for these orange flowers, I could probabaly smell their kitchens.

Orange blossoms, I love the smell.
I remember when Orange County smelled like that. The perfume was lovely and intoxicating.

Grapefruit blossoms
We have this grapefruit tree that in 5 years has produced 4 fruit. I was estatic when I cut the #1 fruit open as it was what I had bought ....ruby
red (unlike the Valencia orange I bought that turned out to be navel). Then last year we got 3 more. Well this year there must be 2-300 blossoms, as
sweet as orange in fragrance and filing my yard with happy air. If we get this many grapefruit the tree will fall over. Could it be all the rain?
Or could it be the insane Mexicano who cut the tree last year actually did a great job?
Quien Sabe? But I am certainly thankful for the perfume outside my bedroom window..
