it was such a festive day with everyone driving around marveling at the enormous never before seen that big by most people. We enjoyed the 20' waves at sunset, went for a burger, stalked up on some items and by the time I got home it was blowing 30 knots and the swells are thundering in....dang.

The ambulance came around announcing Alerta Roja for our area as Rosa decided to do the cha cha a bit more and knock us around some. So everyone is scrambling around stowing stuff as most thought she was a done deal. It may be a long night....wouldnt want to be on Cedros tonight! Still no rain.

Sept. 30: Rosa clouds arrive in San Diego

Walked out of the grocery store in San Diego and saw these rolling by overhead.

That's some front moving thru.

A few drops of rain spattered on the windshield when I got home.
Friends closer to the grocery stored got a lot more.
I have rain envy...

Hang tight down south!

Whoa...Rosa is a nasty girl! Last night things got really crazy about 3:30 with wind at 40-50 knots....not much rain but insane waves and unexpected high winds. It is worse now and I imagine it is the tail end of her having her way with us. One of the worse storms I have been in here...dang!
I cant believe we still have power and internet...crazy!

Were on our way back grom our Central Baja Loop trip, we had to cut it short due to Rosa.

Yesterday rescue crues (CFE, TelMex, Military (vehicles all lined up and ready to go) and Proteccion Civil) were scrambling in GN.

Miltary on the road with supplies and ready to help, driving to wherever they're going.

Last night it sprinkled a bit in San Quintín, today around 9am when leaving there was a slight rain for a couple of miles north. Lots of Proteccion Civil and local and federal police activity.

As we drove down the grade to Sto Tomas the traffic was stopped for about half hour for construction work. As the southbound traffic passed us there was a big contingent of Red Cross rescue vehicles (all terrain tractor like, small rescue vehicles and a big command center truck) heading to the storm path.

We're at the entrance of maneadero at El Pariente havind some clam c-cktails and fresh oysters... no rain but very cloudy... warm and humid.
