Friends just returned to BDLA, two bridges washed out north of Gonzaga. Abutments gone on both sides of bridges, stranded traveler between the bridges. The third bridge was still drivable, allowing them to turn around and come back to the bay.

Rosa seems to really like Asuncion....it has been blowing hard out here at the point and light rain most of the day....well over 30-35 knots....hard to stand up in the wind and still a humongous swell!!! My gardens are toast but at least we arent mopping up water. Dark now and the wind is picking up AGAIN!!!
I wish the fat lady would sing!

Mexico is well known for immediate response to this kind of problem. May be a dusty detour around the washouts for a while as they repair the damage, but my bet is it'll be passable within the week. Roads aren't just for us touristas but for commerce as well.

Absolutely correct.
Never been a washout in Baja that the locals did not find an alternate route in just a few days.
Might not be pretty, but always passable.
As soon as the mud turns to dust the way will be found, or created.

Km 122 mentioned is a familiar place where the racers head west. It is south of La Ventana and S of the big road cut and curve.

It looks to me to be just a bit further north than Pta. Bufeo. Three bridges were mentioned as being out.

I'm hoping to hear any info about San Quintin/El Rosario.
The "other" route north/south.

It blew a gale all night again last night and rained some but this morning the sun is bustin out to dry things out so the clean up can begin here in Bahia Asuncion.

My heart ogees out to the folks on Cedros Island and San Felipe who are recovering from flooding.

Probability is about zero.

This storm is minor, maybe an inch or 2 over 3 days in SoCal.

All you geriatrics getting high anxiety over the weather forecast need to get a hobby, a hobby like pot smoking! Crikey! The storm is gonna be a big nothing burger!

Hows that nothingburger taste Goat?

Not sure where the pics earlier came from....I was responding to DK's post. My comment is meant for FB references generally.
