You're kidding about porn, right?

A lot of activity in Ensenada now (LIVE stream) for a "canceled race"!
https://www.facebook.com/OfficialScoreInternational/videos/5...

I guess it was just more fake news? Not one correction posted to correct the mistake or change of facts?

I read somewhere that it's a sign of weakness to admit to your mistakes or change of facts....

Here is one post where a member said the race was back on in this thread.

There were also other threads that said the fine was paid and the race was back on.

Fake news is only on "Fox" TV.

I have to laugh at the idea of Mexico cancelling ANYTHING because it wasn't considered "Green." Don't get me wrong, they care about green but that "green" has nothing to do with the environment.

Pony up enough "green" and you can rape the entire toilet bowl called Mexico.

As a side note, why does anyone on this board reply to JJJ & 666 posts?

LOL! Yes, indeed, you are all right!!

My correction hint was more directed at the OP (Ken) who is an off-road lover, he even likes driving over other cars in his Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. I was only a bit surprised that he didn't add the update about the World's Oldest Off-Road Race being back on schedule.

A note to some of you eco-concerned: Off-Road racing was really a bad name but easy to say. The race does not go off any road, but primarily uses unpaved (dirt) roads... with some highway sections where there is no alternative. When this race began (the first few years, it simply used Mexico #1 from Tijuana (later Ensenada or Mexicali) to La Paz (except for the San Ignacio to La Purisima section, offering a much shorter distance to La Paz).

Pavement originally ended 72 miles south of Ensenada and didn't begin again until 100 miles north of La Paz. So Mexico #1 was mostly dirt road until 1973 when the central section was paved and forced the race to go through San Felipe, L.A. Bay, then to El Arco again to rejoin the old main road.

I think the only true off-road race was the Barstow to Vegas motorcycle race of the 1960s. That didn't last long but can be seen on the film 'On Any Sunday'.

Fake news? Update? The article is unchanged from last month.
