Canadian food finally

https://news.google.com/articles/CAIiENxezSUQFC9sXHhWwjI1viQ...

Finally us Canadians have the chance to have our own cuisine . Most all of the countries have their own special food, Mex...tacos
Americans...burgers...Italians...pizza....tai...tia food on and on.

We have never had a food that is called ours. There has never been a "Canadian" food.

Now we can call Pot brownies ours! Yea!

If I am wrong please give me an example of what our Canadian food is.

I had a sea food pizza in Prince George once. It used a Newburg sauce instead of a tomato base, and had some pretty tasty chunks of cod(?), scallops and shrimp, and I asked for a couple of anchovies as well.

I nominate that for Canadian cuisine!

Perch....and brownies yup!
This is a big day in history & I am proud Canada is taking the lead in this long overdue legislation. I bet other countries will jump on the bandwagon now that we broke the ice...is it 4:20 yet?

Yes, today, Canada, legalize recreational marijuana, showing that Canada is a progressive state.

Hopefully, both the US and Mexico, will follow suit country wide, so cops, and especially the FEDS stop harassing and arresting people, for simply having marijuana.

Nice! What about the Maple syrup? I thought that would be first. Best served over pancakes with fried eggs in the middle. Had that once in San Juanico, doubt it was true maple syrup, but my blood work has never been the same.

I don't smoke anymore, but I wonder if the above made with some bud in the pancake mix would start the day off good?

My personal recipe for making magic brownies or pancakes; don't just add the ganga to the mix raw and dry; whatever amount of oil or butter the mix calls for, add 1/3 more, and slowly (not too hot!) sautee the leaves in a small pan for 5 to 10 minutes to absorb the oil and soften the leaves/bud so it's not so dry and crunchy, plus it unlocks the THC better as well. This from the late 60's / early 70's.

Also, from the new-age pot pharmas, a few eye-droppers-full of THC oil in the batter is even easier, albeit a tad more expensive... still very effective.

Enjoy, northern neighbors!
